kinder and gentler

is that

most of us still die alone.

30 Years Ago

Marjorie helped Elsie 

In the last years of her life.

I bought Elsie’s house

When Elsie moved out

That was when Marjorie helped Elsie into care.

Then 30 years later, Marjorie started to show her age

And I began to see Marjorie around less every day.

Then the for sale sign went up on Marjorie’s house.

And I realised I’d not seen Marjorie about.

Now I think about 30 years from now.

I wonder if anyone will notice me not around

When my 30 year expiry finally runs out.

Will my Marjorie appear to guide me out?

Love Is Love

 If I love Michael,

and Michael loves Sebastian,

and Sebastian loves Sienna,

and Sienna loves Ruth,

it is all the same love.

What does it matter

if it defies the status quo?

And it isn’t what you know?

Because you just saying,

“It just isn’t right!”

doesn’t make it so.

That is just your

inability to grow.
