Gone but not forgotten
How inadequate those words are.
THE BURNING ACHING LOSS
SO INHUMANELY UNFAIR
I WANT TO SCREAM IT OUT,
Until my throat disintegrates
And it shakes me completely apart!
Gone but not forgotten
How inadequate those words are.
THE BURNING ACHING LOSS
SO INHUMANELY UNFAIR
I WANT TO SCREAM IT OUT,
Until my throat disintegrates
And it shakes me completely apart!
I'm just a whinny little bitch
And maybe I want to write something, which
Inspires people to look at life
but, I'm not sure that I often get that right
Millennials, it’s not their fault,
Their parents failed them, as they prepared to be adults.
They were told they are special, they believe they are special,
They were told that they could have anything they wanted in life,
Just because they want it, get the app, it will simply arrive.
Some of them got things because their parents complained,
And some of them got A’s because it was just easier that way.
Some of them got participation medals for coming in last…
And now they want to censor uni’s, because some of it is hard.
They want everyone to pay for them to get a house,
Their cars and their lives,
Because they want everything
And they want it all now.
In Europe
Employees are considered the company’s greatest asset
In Australia
Employees are considered the company’s greatest expense
Australian workers
Give their companies more unpaid hours
That any other workers in the world.
We’ve all been fooled.
What do conservatives believe?
Less govt help for the citizens
And nothing much else.
All for yourself.
He pulled his trolley through the door before me
Then he waved me passed with a, "There you go."
And a smile. Pity, I thought, as I strode passed,
I would have enjoyed to look at his arse.
The young auditor worked hard all day, in his crisp white collar and tie with his spotless new degree
Checking the procedures, cross checking them with documentation, fifteen examples of each
Late in the afternoon, he leant against the filing cabinet exhausted with his shirt tail hanging out
I had to resist tucking it in for him and licking my hanky and wiping his face and saying, "Good boy."
The blokes are wearing blue suits and brown shoes
Like a fashion virus, in the style stakes we all lose
Some bright spark thought it was a good combo
Then like clueless Lemmings the rest, apparently, followed
Roll of the eyes
Guys?
Men who stand for women on public transport
Are an indication of the sexist attitudes that persist
Red wine in the day
The smooth passage of time
Human beings are nicer
12.032017
I'm really not sure what this is saying, in fact, I think it is saying the opposite to what the truth is...
A splif after lunch
the smooth passage of time
Human beings are nicer
Red wine in the day
I go face down in the afternoon
Human beings are lesser

I see them running
for the tram,
satin frills and sweet cologne.
Let the pretty boys on,
with a reverential gaze
and a twitch of their crotch lip.
Close the doors on the fat girls,
with a hiss, and a giggle
and a mean scoff.
Queen’s wave
to the ugly slags
they left off.
I can’t help but laugh at the freedom
with which they operate in the world
despite their cruelty and their flagrant bullying,
of which, they have, probably, always been victim.
But even in the depths of their beastliness
there is a humour that clears them of the worst,
even if that is just because I am on their team.
Even if the fat girl can’t see it, left on the footpath
as they wave good bye and blow her kisses,
with a squeal and a flourish, as if to rub it in.
Scratching at the glass ceiling
With bloodied fingers
Telling anti-men jokes,
While calling out sexism
Comparing whose breasts
Were the most expensive
The old man is in a hurry, said the young man
The old man looked around to see who was racing past
The old man couldn't see anybody else
